Culture is not your friend!

Issue twenty six – March 1st 2013

The wild, mesmerizing howls of the Jackals from the forest just near the house I live in were silenced in these past few days by kids with fireworks, celebrating a holiday by detonating these small festive bombs. It is not a long and hard road from the ancient fire worship to the current amazement from man made explosions, be it colorful symbols in the sky or nuclear blasts on the TV screen. Either way, the jackals and my dogs are terrified because they know better than us humans. Indeed, the winter is coming to an end over here, if not with thunders from the heavens then with thunders from the violent earth. See you when fire finally rains on us.
