Issue fourty – May 1st 2014
We were standing at the edge of the forest, where the trees and the the city begins. My four dogs and I were walking early in the morning, while birds were starting to wander and fly above our heads. Last night I have seen a firefly not far from where we were standing now. A lonely firefly sitting on the bed of flowers from where the birds are now starting to eat their breakfast. I don’t like waking up early in the morning, but the forest makes up for that gray feeling.
We were standing there, on the edge of the forest, and from the grassy hill, among green bushes, we saw a coyote. This sight is always exciting, but not new to us, however – this coyote did not notice us and started to howl, which was a beautiful sight. The sound we have heard many times before, but seeing one howling was indeed magical. My dogs and I stood there and watched the coyote rising and vanishing into the woods. Morning is coming, better hide.
